A Sweet Downtown Tradition

The Christmas Cookie Contest returns during the Martinsville Cookie Stroll, bringing bakers, families, and visitors together in the heart of our downtown. Whether you are a seasoned baker or simply love sharing your favorite holiday recipe, this friendly competition is a chance to be part of one of the most festive Saturdays of the season.

Entry Drop-Off: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Judging Begins: 11:00 a.m.

The contest takes place during the Martinsville Cookie Stroll, giving participants and visitors a full downtown experience. After judging concludes, cookies will be shared and beverages will be provided.

Make a day of it. Enter the contest, stroll downtown, and enjoy everything the season has to offer!

Who Can Participate

Open to bakers of all ages who love this culinary craft.

Eligible entries include:
  • Baked cookies
  • No-bake cookies
  • Bars
  • Biscotti
  • And other holiday treats

Whether you are baking from scratch or sharing a family favorite, we welcome your creativity.

Contest Guidelines

  • Submit 12 cookies on a plate. Two will be reserved for judging, and the remaining cookies will be shared.
  • Entry fee is $2 per entry. Cookie Stroll bakers compete at no cost.
  • Include a legible recipe or list of ingredients with your entry.
  • One entry per person.
  • Additional details are available on the entry form.

Cookies will be judged on flavor, texture, and appearance.

Winner receives a plaque to display in their place of business.

$50 cash prize

Teen Category
$40 cash prize
