A Sweet Downtown Tradition

Rediscover Martinsville’s signature holiday event returns on the second Saturday of December, filling our downtown with homemade cookies, live music, local shopping, and seasonal cheer.

​With a Cookie Passport in hand, you will stroll from stop to stop throughout downtown collecting more than two dozen homemade Christmas cookies baked by supporters of Downtown Martinsville. Along the way, enjoy entertainment, festive surprises, and special promotions offered by local businesses.

How the Cookie Stroll Works

  1. Purchase a Cookie Passport.
  2. Pick up your Passport the morning of the event.
  3. Visit participating cookie stops throughout downtown.
  4. Collect one cookie and a stamp at each location.

Your Passport includes:
  • A map of cookie stops
  • A full entertainment schedule
  • A list of participating businesses and special promotions
  • A place to collect stamps as you go

You must have your Passport to collect cookies.

Cookie Passport Information

Step 1: Purchase Your Passport

Advance Cookie Passports are $25.

Online sales begin November 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and continue through December 11 or until sold out.

This event sells out quickly. Purchasing early is strongly encouraged.
If any Passports remain, they will be available beginning at 9:30 a.m. on event day for $30 each.
Passports are limited and available while supplies last.

Step 2: Pick Up Your Passport

All online purchases must be exchanged for your physical Cookie Passport on the morning of the event.

Unclaimed advance purchases not picked up by 11:00 a.m. may be released for resale at the day-of price.

The Cookie Stroll is about more than cookies. It is a full downtown experience.

Most shops will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering special sales and seasonal promotions available only during the event.

Downtown businesses can apply to participate as official cookie locations.
Be a Baker
Share your favorite holiday recipe and contribute cookies to the stroll. Recipes are compiled into the annual Cookie Stroll Cookbook, and all bakers are vetted to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Provide Entertainment
Musicians and performers offering family-friendly holiday entertainment are welcome to apply.
